Testing
Our horses go through a strict testing process before they are used for therapy. We test their ability to be lead as well as their reactions to touch, noise and reflective objects. This ensures that the therapist always knows what the horse is comfortable with. Horses that fail a certain aspect are trained and desensitized before being used. If the horse displays dangerous reactions or fails on too many aspects, they are not used for therapy.

This ensures that the horses are safe for use with disabled children. Before a session, the horse also "practices" with the toys that will be used during the session, to ensure that they are still calm and relaxed about all the toys.
